Wereldvluchtelingendag bij de Diaconie
Vrijdag 17 juni van 17.00u – 20.00u uur

In aanloop naar de jaarlijkse Wereldvluchtelingendag eren we de kracht van mensen die -om wat voor reden dan ook- hun thuisland hebben verlaten.
Eet, dans en drink, vaar mee met rederij Lampedusa en luister naar de verhalen van immigranten uit het verleden en het heden, ga in gesprek met mensen uit alle windstreken in de 'Human Library' of laat je informeren door de verschillende organisaties die zich inzetten voor vluchtelingen zoals:
De muziek wordt verzorgd door DJ Carmen en de Worldhouse Fusion Band.
In aansluiting op het festival wordt om 22:14u de indrukwekkende animatiefilm "Flee" (2021) vertoont door onze partner Cinetree in samenwerking met het UNHCR. De vertoning vindt tevens plaats in de Hoftuin. Tickets kunnen besteld worden via www.cinetree.nl

Leading up to the annual World Refugee Day, we honor the strength of people who -for whatever reason- have left their homeland.
Eat, dance and drink. Make a canaltour with the shipping company Lampedusa while listening to stories of immigrants past and present. talk to people from all over the world in the 'Human Library' or get informed by the various organizations working for refugees:
Following the festival, the impressive animated film "Flee" (2021) will be screened at 10:14pm by our partner Cinetree in collaboration with the UNHCR. The screening will also take place in the Court Garden. Tickets can be ordered through: www.cinetree.nl
